The heart of the forest: Palace Park, the Natural History and Forest Museum, the bison show reserve and the Royal Oaks Trail. Perfect for a full day.
Restaurants in Białowieża
After a day on the trail – potato dumplings (kartacze), potato bake, pierogi and local liqueurs. Regional cuisine you have to try.

A huge, wild reservoir right next to the forest. Kayaks, fishing, spectacular sunsets over the water and a paradise for birdwatchers.
Repczyce Lake
A quiet place for a swim, a picnic or fishing – away from the crowds.
Narrow-gauge railway Hajnówka – Topiło
A ride on the historic forest railway through the forest to the settlement of Topiło by a picturesque pond. A hit with kids and adults (seasonal).
Topiło
A forest settlement by a pond deep in the forest. Silence, wooden houses and one of the most atmospheric places in the region.
Hajnówka and its landmarks
The monumental Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Museum and Centre of Belarusian Culture and the forest railway station. A good place for shopping and rainy days.
Dubicze Cerkiewne
Bachmaty Lake with a beach and a wooden Orthodox church – swimming, cycling and a bit of history in one place.
Green Velo cycle route
Poland's longest cycle route runs right nearby. Flat forest routes for families and for those who like to cover more kilometres.
Holy Mount Grabarka
Poland's most important Orthodox sanctuary – a hill with thousands of wooden crosses around a church and a holy spring. A truly impressive place.
Land of Open Shutters
Trześcianka, Soce and Puchły – villages with colourful carved shutters and Orthodox churches. One of the most beautiful driving and cycling routes in Podlasie.
Białystok
The Branicki Palace, known as the “Versailles of the North”, its gardens, Kościuszko Market Square and modern museums. A great idea for a day in the city.
